First up is the flagship ‘Dry Gin’ by Queenscliff Distillery. Juniper forward, with coriander and fruity pepper berry delivering a gentle spice, while refreshing fennel balances softer notes of cinnamon, angelica and orange. For a fresh take on a classic Martini, it’s a must try.
Bold & spicy, the ‘Goddess Strength’ from Anther Distillery is next up. Created to celebrate the strength of women across the globe. Perfect for a G&T, the fresh juniper and finger lime are enhanced with aromatic cubeb, sarsaparilla & damiana, while Tasmanian honey & Canadian maple lending a sweet finish.
Following is ‘South East Meets South West’ a contemporary dry style of gin by Great Ocean Road Gin. South East Asian citrus flavours of lime, lemongrass & yuzu are infused with local coastal botanicals such as Kelp, Pig Face and Lemon Gum. The result is refreshing, bright and equally delicious mixed with tonic or shaken into a cocktail.
Inspired by the traditional wine punch of Spain & Portugal, ‘Gin De Sangria’ is next in the line up, from Flowstate Brewers & Distillers. A soft red hue is the resulting union of their award-winning Craft Gin and Shiraz wine lees rested in French Oak, finished with fresh citrus & traditional spices. Light bodied, fruity & perfect for sipping, with a lingering liquorice finish.
To round out the line up, is Trooper & The Roo from The Bellarine Distillery. Named after a legendary chase between the distillers pup Trooper and a local Kangaroo, Trooper & The Roo is a beautifully balanced dessert-style gin. Roasted wattle seed, cacao & almonds lend smooth chocolate notes, brightened with bittersweet grapefruit citrus.
